Our Tiny Tigers work off a modified curriculum. The main focus is developing fine motor skills, listening skills, and discipline.
Tiny Tigers use our stripe system to break the curriculum down in to bite size pieces.
Around GREEN/WHITE, the child is usually reaching the age where he/she is ready to move on to the beginner class (7 years old). When ready, the child will GRADUATE from our Tiny Tigers program and receive a SOLID YELLOW BELT.
If the student did NOT reach PURPLE/WHITE before joining the children's beginner class, the student will have the choice to wear a white belt or keep wearing their Tiny Tiger belt in the beginner class. The next belt they test for will be a SOLID Yellow belt.
BLUE/WHITE BELT - This belt is for the children that begin training very young and have moved through our Tiny Tigers curriculum but are still not ready to graduate from the Tiny Tigers program just yet. BLUE/WHITE is equal to a solid YELLOW BELT.
Tiny Tiger testing fees: $20
A GUP rank is a student colored belt rank in Korean martial arts. In a Japanese martial art, it's called a KYU rank. We practice both Korean and Japanese martial arts at our Dojo so we use both terms. Taekwondo & Hapkido are Korean martial arts and Jujitsu is Japanese. However, Small Circle Jujitsu was established in Hawaii but it comes from a Japanese lineage.
JUNIORS:
Children's beginner ranking starts at 10th gup WHITE BELT to 6th gup GREEN BELT. All Juniors work off a stripe system for grading.
At GREEN BELT, students will begin our advanced classes. At 14 years old they may join our adult class.
ADULTS:
Adults and Juniors use the same gup/kup ranking system. However, adults don't use the stripe system and will rank when they are ready, rather than wait for a group testing. In the event that multiple adult students are ready to test, we will hold a group testing.
Testing fees:
